Dr. Naif Al-Mutawa is the creator of THE 99-the first group of superheroes born of an Islamic archetype. Joichi Ito spends his time working in the public, private and non-profit sectors focusing on the Internet and innovation. In the past, Ito worked primarily in traditional media, having worked in Hollywood developing motion pictures and as the associate to the executive producer on Sean Penn's first film as a director, "Indian Runner". He worked at NHK, the public Japanese broadcaster and as a columnist and contributor to both US and Japanese publications and television shows.

Mohammad's biggest passion is emerging markets, considering the vast degree of cultural diversity and challenges it faces. He is fascinated by the role that technology plays in empowering people in those communities and has dedicated his career towards that passion.

Abed will introduce TEDx Dubai audience to the world of Biophotonics and its possible key to technical developments in the Middle East. Besides his research degree in Biophotonics, Abed Ayyad also has an advanced degree in chemistry, and has been involved with different computer programming projects, for both academic and commercial purposes.

Mohamed and Peyman Parham Al Awadhi are both Emiratis with over 26 years of multinational consumer-goods experience between them. At a time when it was popular for Emiratis to seek careers in the UAE government sector, they explored leadership roles with companies such as Philips, Master Foods, British American Tobacco, Pepsi, and Beiersdorf.
