Bruno Giussani is the European director of the TED Conferences and the programmer of TEDGlobal. As a member of TED's senior team, he participates in the definition of the organization's strategy and in the management of its global activities. He is also a writer - he has written several books and his articles have appeared in many media including the New York Times and the Economist - and an entrepreneur who has co-founded three Internet companies. He is based in Switzerland

Bruno will introduce to the TEDx Dubai delagates the Charter for Compassion, a TED Prize project winner that will be officially unveiled to the world on November 12. The Charter for Compassion is a collaborative effort to build a peaceful and harmonious global community. Bringing together the voices of people from all religions, the Charter seeks to remind the world that while all faiths are not the same, they all share the core principle of compassion and the Golden Rule.
